THE PUBLIC ACTS

THE PUBLIC ACTS is a site-specific work commissioned by the newly opened The Public in West Bromwich, and takes place this Saturday (26) and Sunday of July.
Visitors to The Public will be invited to perform a prescribed action in a specific area of building - an action witnessed, and documented by artist Daniel Lehan.

Print Club are showing 35 screenprints by 35 Artists. Each one is £35. At the Blisters on my fingers show. Some great artists showing, including many hermit collaborators…

Anthony Burrill Colette Windows
Parisian boutique Colette is being refurbished and they’ve commissioned Anthony to design their window graphics during the transformation. The shop is due to re-open on the 25th August.

Kate McMorrine and Alec Strang - More of Less
New work from two young london based artists. Kate McMorrine is an artist from the Isle of Skye, a tiny island just off the coast of Scotland where she “learned to play magical instruments and see colors no other can ever see”. She now lives in London. Kate’s practice is grounded in the discipline of drawing and deals with narratives found in misheard conversations and the story-telling tradition. Activating the visual with the use of such things as automatic drawing, old photographs and cut outs she forms characters and narratives which inhabit a personal world.
